What's Your Wineskin?

I am just curious about what methods people are currently using for discipleship. Do you do small groups? Sunday School? Mid-week services? Retreats?

What works well and what doesn't work at all?

What is your wineskin?

Heather, I like this site!
Evergreen currently has a small group system in transition. We have Journey Groups, which are bible studies of 7-15 people (we haven't found an upper limit yet). We also have Covenant Groups, which are groups of 3-4 people who meet for accountability and prayer. Covenant Groups are a very intimate form of peer-to-peer discipling. We are in the process of adding Covenant Group time to Journey Group time: meet in the Journey group for an hour, then split into Covenant groups for the second hour. It will be interesting to watch this happen!

Elaine- looks like you have found a great church to plug into. And it sounds like you are navigating the community-discipleship tension by doing two types of groups in one. Interesting stuff.

I also like your Pathways stuff here: http://www.evergreench.org/pathways.htm

I could have just linked to that instead of rambling about all of those historical models of discipleship. You guys say the same stuff, only better!
