It's a Girl
Just heard from my sister Laura. She and Casey are having a girl! YAY! It seems more real to me now that we know the gender of the baby.
They had a couple boy names picked out, but none for girls. Feel free to throw out your two cents. She didn't seem to like Gertrude or Matilda.

I am a big fan of the old "MAMA'S FAMILY" television show from the 80's. I don't suppose they would go for the names Thelma, Iola, Eunice, or Skeeter. LOL. We are just thrilled we are going to be grandparents. What a blessing!
My husband has a grandmother named Beulah...that's always a fine option...
Gertrude and Matilda.....hmmmmm.....those names seem really familiary to me. Didn't we do a skit where those were our names?
I think we are going to take strips of paper and write a name on each. Then we will turn Radar and Shadow loose. The first name each steps on is what we will name baby mac. You know, we have to keep them involved in this process, so they don't feel left out.
If it was twin girls, I'd vote for Indonesia and Malaysia. :)
Heather's vetoed my first choice for a girl's name, so y'all could use it: Beretta. Bret for short. :)
what about taking some advice from judy blume...remember one of the characters in her books had a doll named "chevrolet"? has a nice ring to it...
Mary Matilda or Mary Regena sound good to me! Yea! Glad it is a girl! She can be friends with my little girl!
Wow! Loving these comments. Yes, Shannon. Those names sound oddly familiar.
Ryan- not going to allow our niece to be named after a gun.
Beulah, Chevrolet, Iola, Mary Regena...this is fun!
Mom, just for your comment about Mama's Family, remember you have not settled on grandparent names - maybe I will have my child call YOU Skeeter. :o)
Hey- mom could be Skeeter and dad could be Scooter!
Laura, as I mentioned on another blog, "Skeeter" and "Scooter" are better choices than some. My first choices are NOT "Meemaw" and "Peepaw."
