Its been around for quite a while, but I just now got around to reading it. Probably in the top 5 best reads for me. "Fresh Wind Fresh Fire" by JimCymbala
After working as an environmental engineer for a few years and a policy advisor on Capitol Hill for a few years, I finally landed as the Pastor of Discipleship at National Community Church in Washington, DC. I am originally from Mobile, Alabama, so I enjoy hot humid weather, football, and fried dill pickles. My Southern heritage also prompts me to throw moonpies to people during my talks at retreats and summits. I am married to the wonderful Ryan Zempel, who writes for a political website by day but sings and dances on the local community theatre stage at night. Check out my new small group curriculum, Sacred Roads.

Heather,
These books have been extremely formative for me over the last couple of years...
Orthodoxy by G.K. Chesterton
Good News About Injustice by Gary Haugan
Soul Survivor by Philip Yancey
The Art of Biblical Narrative by Robert Alter
Paul: In Fresh Perspective by NT Wright
If you haven't already read it, then UnChristian by Dave Kinnaman and Gabe Lyons.
I think this book could be one of the most influential books of our generation.
Patrick- good call on unChristian. I read that one over Thanksgiving. Really good.
